Stay toasty warm by the fire pit
There’s nothing like sitting around having a yarn by the fire after a day of exploring - especially when you’ve got your camping billy, marshmallows and clear West Coast skies overhead. At Strahan Beach Tourist Park, fire pits are available for hire and firewood can be purchased from reception.
If it’s raining… don’t panic! It will blow over pretty fast and you can get back to enjoying your campfire.
Keep the kids entertained with our playground
Let the kids burn off some energy in our semi-fenced playground, just next to the BBQ area. You can keep an eye on them while cooking dinner or enjoying a relaxing drink.
Meal prep made easy with the camp kitchen & BBQ area
Our semi-enclosed camp kitchen is clean, functional and newly fitted. It’s equipped with everything you need to make a hearty meal, including two free electric BBQs, prep space and a sink. This is a great spot to share stories and relax as the sun goes down.
Free hot water! Shower block & caravan amenities
We provide a separate toilet and shower block with roomy, modern showers - and yes, they’re always hot and completely free. No tokens, no timers!
There is also a waste dumping station for caravans here onsite.
Communal laundry so you can freshen up your clothes and linen
Open 24 hours, our laundry includes coin-operated washing machines and dryers, plus a clothesline, ironing board and iron. Great for freshening up after a few days on the road.
Your helpful team at reception
Our onsite managers are here to help with anything you need until 4:30 PM most days. Drop by to hire a DVD or board game, browse local attraction brochures or ask for tips on what to do in the area. Whether it’s a cruise, a walk or a cosy pub meal, they’ll point you in the right direction.
West Strahan Beach at your doorstep
Step out of your cabin or off your campsite and take just a few strides to reach the harbour’s edge. West Strahan Beach is peaceful, uncrowded and ideal for morning strolls, playing with the kids or simply soaking in the views.
The water here is often calm and surprisingly warm in summer, thanks to the tannin-rich fresh water of Macquarie Harbour.
